METAL REMOVAL FROM FRAME
REMOVAL OF BODY STEEL OVER THE WOOD
This panel was a pain in the *** to remove but the results of the wood top gives me encouragement I am happy with the results of the top frame.
I have found some staggering differences between the two sides of the car. the drivers side for us in the uk/aus runs to the back of the door opening. whilst on the passenger side it has a smaller piece from the front to the back of the door opening. I'm hoping to explain this one day.
the inside of the *** piece is good apart from the crap they used to stick it to the wood which is also a pain in the *** to remove.
these are the 2 pieces that scared me the most on this car. they are a very long shaped, bent piece of wood to an exact radius.
my hats off to the guys who do these, they are perfect..
the inner plywood panels are beyond help but they are easy to replace. I will brace up both side to the table and then I will remove all the pieces that join both sides together. these will all be replaced.
just another pic of the side of the Morgan removed and cleaning started.
this is the passenger side a pillar as I would call it. this piece is rooted, this has sustained a major breakage but it will be replaced along with other wooden pieces.
this is the main dash support panel again damaged from being crushed. this will also be replaced in time for now I am just removing the scuttle metal and clamping what is left for support.
this is what is left of the passenger side door mount wood. as you can see there isn't much left of it. piece 3 to be replaced.
