FINAL BODY METAL REMOVAL

This is the fist time I had seen all the wood without the scuttle on it. I was not surprised about any of the condition of the wood as I had seen most of it anyway.


the drivers side is better than I thought, the bottom is solid but the top had Mrs Ant and her 2k kids living in there. they Kindly relocated.











sanded a large chunk of this today too, spent a whole lot of time getting all the crap some one had used to try and get the body metal to stick to the wood with very little success.







this is the passengers side what I would call A pillar. the bottom isn't bad surprisingly.
the top was fooked. but I knew this before I started.





this is the 3 pieces of body metal removed and getting ready for storage.
I will show a few pics of the scuttle once I get it flat again.

WELCOME TO MY BLOG  Through this blog i will show the process of saving this 1964 Morgan 4 /4. The car came to me in reasonable condition although there is a lot of work to be done. As you can see for the pictures i will continue to add there is much rust and damage to the body of the car. When the car was picked up the motor, gearbox, electrics, dash, seats yes basically every thing had been removed from the car. This turned out to be a blessing as it reduced the tear down time.  I have now had the car for 3 weeks and it is basically a chassis a frame and many preserved parts packed away safe until the time they need to be restored and returned to the car. I will show pictures of many of these parts as the posts continue to grow. For now i will post a few pics of where the car is up to at the time of typing this.
